The gap problem
Most producers don't have a programme problem. They have a gap problem.
The concept works. The broadcaster or platform is interested. The team is ready. Most of the budget is in place.
But "most" doesn't turn the cameras on.
The partnership is working to help producers address the funding, commercial and production challenges that can prevent a strong programme from reaching greenlight.
A dedicated investor relations team leads the preparation of suitable opportunities, identifies and qualifies prospective investors, and explores wider commercial partnerships that may create additional value around the production.
runVT brings more than 30 years of experience working alongside independent producers, established broadcaster and industry relationships, award-winning post-production expertise, and a practical understanding of what it takes to get a programme made, completed and successfully delivered.
Together, the partnership can help producers address a defined funding gap, strengthen the commercial potential of the programme and establish a credible route from greenlight through production, post-production and final delivery.
No blind deck blasting. No pretending an email database is a funding strategy.
Just a properly considered approach to helping strong projects move forward.
Why runVT is involved
More than post-production. A partner from earlier in the journey.
For more than three decades, runVT has worked alongside independent producers, helping them turn ambitious ideas and filmed material into programmes ready for major broadcasters and platforms.
That experience has given runVT a clear view of what happens long before a production reaches the edit. Strong, commercially credible projects can stall because one final piece of funding, commercial support, production planning or delivery infrastructure is missing.
This partnership is a natural evolution of runVT's role.
It allows the runVT team to become involved earlier, while producers are still working out how a project can be financed, structured, made and delivered, rather than waiting for the programme to arrive in post-production.
By combining runVT's production knowledge, industry relationships and delivery infrastructure with a specialist investor network and commercial development work, producers can access a more connected form of support from funding requirement through to completed programme.
runVT does not offer or guarantee investment. Funding preparation, investor engagement and prospective investor introductions are led by the partnership's investor relations team. Any funding remains subject to project assessment, due diligence, investor interest, agreed documentation and final approval.
One coordinated approach
Funding, commercial development and production delivery.
Funding Preparation and Introductions
The investor relations team reviews the defined funding shortfall, helps prepare the opportunity and identifies prospective investors whose interests, investment range and timescale may be relevant.
Funding remains subject to project review, due diligence, investor interest, agreed structure and completion documentation.
Commercial Development
The partnership can explore appropriate brand partnerships, programme sponsorship, product placement, talent casting and talent-led digital opportunities that may add further commercial value around the production.
All activity remains subject to producer, broadcaster, platform, rights-holder and talent approval.
Production and Post Planning
runVT can work with producers much earlier in the process, helping to shape practical workflows, facilities, schedules, technical requirements and post-production plans before avoidable problems become expensive production issues.
Its team brings more than 30 years of hands-on experience across offline, online, grade, sound, finishing and final delivery, providing producers with a credible and clearly planned route from production through to the broadcaster or platform.
Broadcast-Ready Delivery
With more than 30 years of post-production and broadcast-delivery experience, runVT provides the technical expertise, facilities and production understanding needed to take programmes through post and deliver them to the required creative, technical and scheduling standards.
This gives producers more than a supplier at the end of the process. It gives them an experienced delivery partner who understands the programme, its pressures and its route to screen from an earlier stage.
The process
From initial review to qualified introduction and delivery.
- 01
Initial Conversation
The partnership speaks with the producer, production company or channel to understand the programme, its current position and the funding, commercial or production requirement.
- 02
Opportunity Review
The production company, rights position, budget, confirmed finance, funding shortfall, timetable and proposed investor structure are reviewed.
- 03
Investor and Commercial Preparation
The investor relations team helps organise the information required to explain the production, funding requirement, proposed commercial structure, potential revenue participation and material risks.
- 04
Investor and Partner Outreach
The investor relations team identifies and approaches prospective investors whose profile, interests and likely investment level may be relevant. Where appropriate, wider commercial partnership opportunities can also be explored.
- 05
Production and Post Planning
runVT can work with the producer to consider the production timetable, post-production workflow, facilities, technical requirements and delivery route.
- 06
Due Diligence, Completion and Delivery
The relevant parties can progress legal and financial due diligence, documentation and completion. Subject to agreement, runVT can then support the production through post-production and broadcast-ready delivery.
The partnership does not make the investment decision for either party. runVT does not offer or guarantee investment.
What we need to review
To determine whether a project may be suitable for presentation to investors, we will usually need to understand the following:
- The production company and relevant track record
- Ownership or control of the necessary rights
- The current broadcaster, platform or distributor position
- The complete production budget
- The amount of the funding shortfall
- The proposed use of investor capital
- Existing and confirmed sources of finance
- The proposed investor structure
- The recoupment and revenue waterfall
- Production and delivery milestones
- Material production and commercial risks
- Supporting agreements and legal documentation
- Talent attachments and relevant participation agreements
- Any proposed brand, sponsorship or product placement rights
Our review helps determine whether an opportunity may be suitable to present to prospective investors. It is not an endorsement, guarantee of funding or substitute for legal, financial or commercial due diligence.
Beyond the production budget
Extend the programme beyond the screen.
Brand Partnerships
Identify businesses with a natural connection to the programme's audience, subject matter, locations, contributors or talent.
Product Placement
Explore appropriate on-screen or production integration, where editorially suitable and permitted by the broadcaster or platform.
Sponsored Podcasts
Develop complementary podcast concepts involving available cast, presenters, contributors or members of the creative team.
YouTube and Digital Content
Explore sponsored behind-the-scenes, interview, educational or companion content that can extend reach beyond the original broadcast.
These services are considered individually, and not every project will be suitable. Availability depends on the project, applicable advertising and broadcasting rules, contractual rights, talent participation and the approval of all relevant parties.

We prioritise projects with an identifiable production company, a clearly defined budget, control of the necessary rights, a credible route to broadcast or distribution and a specific funding requirement.
Submitting a project does not guarantee acceptance, investor presentation or funding.
The partnership approach
"We do not simply circulate opportunities, and we do not wait until a programme reaches post-production. We work with producers earlier, understanding the funding gap, preparing the opportunity, exploring additional commercial value and establishing a credible route through production and delivery."
The investor relations team leads investor preparation, prospective investor qualification, introductions and the development of relevant commercial partnerships.
runVT brings more than 30 years of production experience, broadcaster understanding, industry relationships, post-production expertise and delivery infrastructure. Its involvement gives producers an experienced partner capable of supporting the practical route from an investable opportunity to a completed, broadcast-ready programme.
The producer remains in control throughout. All funding, commercial, production and delivery decisions remain subject to the appropriate professional advice, contractual rights, approvals and documentation.
Start a conversation
Bring us the project before the missing piece becomes the reason it stalls.
If you have a commissioned, optioned or advanced television project with a clearly defined funding shortfall, or you want to explore additional commercial value and establish the production and delivery route earlier, talk to the partnership.
We will look at where the project stands, what is missing and whether the partnership may be able to help move it forward.
An initial conversation is confidential and does not commit either party.
